The Keurig Brewing System
The Keurig Coffee Brewing system is a single cup brewing system that use coffee manufactured in k-cups. The process starts with a plastic cup in which a filter is inserted, followed by premium coffee, them sealed for freshness. Each brewer makes a single cup of coffee in less than 30 seconds.
Keurig make several different models of brewers. Starting with the B40, each has many different features that make brewing a cup of coffee a snap. NO Measuring, NO guessing about how much water to use and NO mess to clean up.

The K-Cup Coffee Pod
The cutaway picture of the Keurig K-Cup shows how the coffee is inserted into the plastic container. The plastic cup is lined with a paper filter then filled with 100% Arabica Gourmet coffee beans. The k-cup is sealed with an air-tight lid to lock out oxygen, light, and humidity. After placing the k-cup in the brewer, the k-cup is pierced and pressurized hot water flows through coffee to ensure a Perfect Cup every time.
